We become what we behold is a relaxed 5-minute point-and-click game about news cycles, vicious cycles, and infinite cycles. Capture moments with your camera and see how squares and circles react!

How to Play We Become What We Behold

The game features various characters randomly walking on the screen. Your only action is to take photographs of these characters. When you aim and shoot, the captured photo appears in the middle of the screen and is displayed on a small TV for everyone to see. Therefore, be cautious about what you choose to publish, as this is the essence of the game.

"We become what we behold. We shape our tools, and then our tools shape us."

Characters to Photograph

Several characters are present in the game. Initially, most characters consist of "normal peeps" with square and round heads. A few outliers can be found within the group, such as a couple in love, a man with a hat, an angry person, and a cricket.

Fancy Man With The Hat

One of the first characters among the "normal peeps" is the man with the hat. It's challenging not to capture a photo of him as other photos of normal peeps may not yield satisfying outcomes when displayed. When a photo of the man with the hat is taken, and all other characters view that photo, every normal peep now desires to wear a hat.

Normal Peeps With A Hat

Photographing a normal peep with a hat reveals the full chain reaction effect. Suddenly, no one wishes to wear a hat anymore as it has become too popular.

Couple In Love

Capturing a photo of the couple in love, and exhibiting it publicly, results in them being shamed. Subsequently, you are less likely to encounter many couples in love strolling the streets. Indeed, "Who tunes in to watch people get along?"

Angry Person

This character adds an intriguing element. When photographing the angry person, it is essential to catch them yelling to trigger reactions. Since yelling is their primary action, capturing them in that act initiates a media frenzy, known as crazed square attacks.

Anger and Fear Multiply Faster Than Love In This Game

Once anger is captured in the photos, reverting to normalcy becomes challenging. Normal peeps progressively develop fear towards each other, begin to avoid one another, leading to squares and circles turning against each other. As the normal peeps turn red, animosity arises among them. Subsequently, capturing these events escalates violence and animosity towards a violent culmination.

Tip

Crickets remain unaffected when photographed. They simply continue being crickets.
